Controls Engineer

We are an established System Integrator with engineering offices in Peterborough and Birmingham. We partner with world-class, well-known brands in the Food & Beverage and Automotive sectors. Beyond traditional factory automation, We closely follow the latest digitalisation products and methods, delivering innovative solutions to the market.
The role offers flexible location options, with the possibility of hybrid working arrangements between home and our two engineering offices.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing control systems utilising Rockwell and Siemens products.

Proven ability to deliver results and maintain resilience in challenging situations.

Availability to work weekends when necessary (with paid overtime) to meet customer needs.

Can start ASAP

Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with estimates for customer quotations.
• Collaborating with customers to develop a Functional Design Specification (FDS) that accurately defines system requirements.
• Supporting Project Managers in planning and monitoring project progress.
• Creating and testing PLC/SCADA/HMI applications.
• Setting up and commissioning control panels, I/O drives, etc.
• Ensuring the delivery of projects to the highest standard.
• Performing on-site commissioning activities.

Education and Experience

Qualified in Electrical Engineering, Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent

Conversant in the use of PLC Controls Development (Allen Bradley / Siemens).

Conversant in the use of HMI / SCADA Configuration (FTView / Wonderware).

Full Clean driving licence.
